CLEVELAND – Johnny Manziel continued to prepare for his first NFL start at practice Thursday, working with the first team offense and Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan.
“I’m excited to see what he can do,” Defensive Coordinator Jim O’Neil said in a press conference Thursday. “I can’t wait to get to Sunday.”
Manziel was known for his mobility out of the pocket at Texas A&M, something most are expecting to see this weekend.
“I’m glad I don’t have to defend it; it could be a major headache,” O’Neil said.
In other starting news, Billy Cundiff will keep his place as the Browns starting kicker.
It’s reported that the Browns worked out three free agent kickers at practice Thursday, but head coach Mike Pettine decided to stick with Cundiff.
The Browns are set to take on the division rival Bengals at 1 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium. Watch it only on FOX 8.
