Multiple media outlets are reporting that former Cleveland Browns coach Pat Shurmur could be headed to Philadelphia.
NFL.com reports that Shurmur has interviewed with the Philadelphia Eagles, to possibly take a spot under that team’s new head coach, Chip Kelly.
Shurmur was let go from the Browns last month after Cleveland finished up a 5-11 season that followed a 4-12 campaign in 2011. The 2012 season ended with a 24-10 loss to the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Chip Kelly actually was one name thrown about as a replacement for Shurmur as the Browns’ new head coach.
The Browns instead hired Rob Chudzinski, who was most recently an offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers.
